Big impact—proven results

We’ve always known we were making a positive impact on children and empowering them to succeed. A nationwide study confirmed it for us.

Changing perspectives. Changing lives.

For more than 100 years nationally and 65 years locally, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters facilitates and supports meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and youth (“Littles”). Big Brothers Big Sisters Michigan Capital Region serves children in Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Ionia and Shiawassee counties. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters Mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters Vision is that all youth achieve their full potential.
