Changing perspectives. Changing lives.
For more than 100 years nationally and 60 years locally, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”). Big Brothers Big Sisters Michigan Capital Region serves children in Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Ionia and Shiawassee counties. Most of the children we serve are from single-parent, low-income households or households where a parent is incarcerated. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. Click here to view our 2009 Annual Report and learn more about Big Brothers Big Sisters.
